He had trained himself when young by his human Grandparents after his mother had died in birth. Though the grandmother didn't like him, the grandfather had trained him with the sword and told him that tog et through the world have to care little for others. He couldn't take that, though and left once the granparents had died from natural causes. He travelled for a long time, helping people, protecting them or preventing calamity with his greatsword.
